AGROINDUSTRY
FRUITS &
VEGGIES FLOUR
In today's world, alternative flours to imported cereal flours are extremely valuable, not only from a nutritional point of view for the confection of cakes and cookies, bread or children's food, but also at an economic level.
They are less expensive for African clients but for international customers, as Europeans, USA, Canada and the Middle East, as some examples, they are more valued because they are more healthy due to their composition and the clients pay a lot more for them.
- The flour produced from vegetables and fruits as a raw material can be used in the manufacture of bread;
- It can also be used in the production of cookies and cakes just like the flour made with cereals, but healthier;
- These flours can be naturally sweet or salty to allow them to be used in any type of food;
- They can also be used to make porridge for babies and children;
- Flour is a product used all over the world;
- It has the characteristic of having a high shelf life while maintaining its quality and can be transported easily;
- As it is nutritionally healthier, tasty and can be produced with natural, organic, vegan and fair trade raw materials and there is a wide interest from international customers;
- While the world is going through a crisis of rising prices and supply of cereals, Africa has in large quantities all the raw materials needed for this project.
This private investment involves construction of factories, purchase of equipment and manufacturing and packaging products, construction and equipment of warehouses, local transport and international transport (export logistics), local training recruitment processes, branding and marketing projects of products made in Sao Tome and Principe with superior quality, organic, vegan, natural and fair trade production for international customers and for national local bakeries.
The Consulate of Sao Tome and Principe already has collaboration protocols with local Principe Producers' Cooperatives and with Associations and Social Entities to support the national organic production as well with the MAPDR - Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development of STP that is responsible for granting land for the implementation of the factories and for the warehouses.
